Even a great product, when poorly installed, becomes a poor product.
Congratulations on choosing Quality! “Quality” is our middle name, and we do not take the word lightly! We ensure Quality through rigorous controls while making your goods, and deliver the best possible installation for them.
This guide will walk you through the process of installation and help prepare for it in the best possible way.
Stage 1: Preparation
Meeting the Team
We carefully select only the best and most responsible installation professionals in the industry. You will meet with the head of the installation crew during the pre-production measurements.
Staying Informed
Our staff will be in touch throughout your project to share detailed information about what to expect and how to prepare, as well as keeping you updated on the status of your order. The date of the installation will be discussed and agreed upon with you in advance.
Codes, Permits, Rules…
Our team follow the best industry practices and apply highest standards to all products and services. We follow relevant building codes. In the event a permit should be required for your project, we will advise you and coordinate the permit with you. Not every installation requires a permit.
Before Installation
You will receive an email with instructions of what needs to be prepared in anticipation of the installation several days before your installation date. You can also request the list at operations@canadianqualitywindows.ca or download it here. Please follow every item in the guide which applies to your situation.
Stage 2:
Installation
Keeping Safe
We prioritize safety by following strict protocols to protect you, your property, and our installation team. Additionally, our installers are covered by Workers’ Compensation, and every project is backed by comprehensive liability insurance.
Installation Standards
Below are some of the standards we adhere to, the actual list is much longer.
Your windows and/or doors are installed at level, squared and tight seal is applied
Shimming is used to keep the product level and prevent unwanted leeway
Polyurethane insulation foam is used as air and thermal insulation
Sealants are applied to the exterior to create vapour and thermal barrier
The installation is complete and will not require follow-up
Stage 3:
After the Installation
Clean-up
Any debris related to construction and installation shall be removed by our installation crew as they finish the installation. Please bear in mind that some adjacent areas may become dusty if a cut-out is performed or if the old windows are old and rotten.
Review
It is important that you are present at the conclusion of the installation. Our Chief Installer will do a walk-around with you and offer you information about the newly installed windows and/or doors, give you useful tips on best care and use practices, and make sure you are fully satisfied with the work. This is the best time to ask any questions or point out anything that does not look or feel right.
