No, you do not. You can configure your windows and/or doors in any way that suits your ideas following our advice. While there are some limitations (which our product consultants will be happy to address during the free in-home consultation), they are usually too subtle to affect your grand plan. The most straightforward change usually done by Canadian Quality customers is the configuration and sides of opening windows and/or doors. A more drastic change would be changing the size of windows and/or doors. The most drastic change is creating new windows and doors where they previously did not exist.
Contractors for new home builders usually install the cheapest windows and doors on the market to satisfy the minimum warranty requirement under Tarion. These cheaper windows and doors are known as builder-grade products, or new home construction products or contractor-grade products. Companies who offer replacement windows are typically higher in quality and offer better warranty.
